Cape Town – Several Snapshot Safari South Africa team members are jetting off to Malaysia to share progress on the huge camera trap project at the International Congress for Conservation Biology.
The congress is held by the Society for Conservation Biology, which is a global community of conservation professionals. It takes place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 21-25 July 2019.
Snapshot Safari-South Africa is a new big science project funded by the Foundational Biodiversity Information Programme (FBIP) and is a country-wide occupancy assessment with monitoring of mammals.
The project enables the public to make a useful contribution to biodiversity science and conservation through the online classification of photographs taken by camera traps.
